Those who commute using Grantline Road between Folsom and Rancho Cordova will need to use an alternate route Friday morning after an early morning fatal vehicle accident has closed a section of the roadway.
One person has reportedly died in the crash and two others were injured in the crash that took place at approximately 4:30 a.m. Friday. The three customs were reportedly in the same vehicle which rolled over while traveling southbound on Grantline Road.
The accident scene on Grantline Road is just south of Raymer Way at a sharp 25 miles per hour turn that has been a frequent location for vehicle accidents.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriffs Department, the road is expected to be closed for several hours as the accident investigation continues. The road way is closed from White Rock Road to Douglass Road.
