Folsom’s Sutter Street Theatre will close the curtain on its season opening murder mystery after this weekend but its not too late to catch this edge of your seat classic. Dial M for Murder is set to take the stage this Friday, Saturday and Sunday for its final run at the Historic Folsom theatre.
Dial M for Murder will raise the curtain for the show Friday night at 7:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday the show hits the stage at 4:30 p.m. The local production of Dial M for Murder is a new version of the celebrated murder mystery that inspired Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 masterpiece for the screen and the original book by Fredrick Knott.
Much like the Hitchock classic, the story surrounds its main character, Tony Wendice who is convinced that his wife Margot has been cheating on him. Although it seems that the affair is over, the story doesn’t end there. Tony, in his jealousy, spins a web of suspicion and deception that will tighten around them and ensnare them both in danger, recrimination and murder
The local production is presented in partnership with Kauffmans’ Give Us a Hand Productions and is directed by Janelle Kauffman & Stephen Kauffman who have been involved with numerous Sutter Street Theatre productions.
Tickets are available at www.sutterstreettheatre.com or by calling the box office at (916) 353-1001. Sutter Street Theatre is located in the heart of Historic Folsom at 717 Sutter Street.
