Folsom Fire Department crews acted quickly in the early morning hours Wednesday to contain a vehicle fire that broke out along Folsom Ranch Drive, preventing potential damage to nearby structures in a residential area.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:42 a.m. in the 1000 block of Folsom Ranch Drive. Engine 36 (E36) was dispatched to the scene, where firefighters arrived to find two vehicles fully engulfed in flames. Due to the proximity of the fire to nearby buildings, structures were initially threatened.

Firefighters launched an aggressive suppression effort, successfully containing the blaze to the two vehicles and protecting surrounding property. No injuries were reported, and no damage was sustained by the nearby structures.

The incident was fully cleared by 2:13 a.m., with a total response time of approximately one hour and 31 minutes.

The fire occurred near a mixed-use zone in the Folsom Ranch development area, not far from local businesses and residential units. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
