Rodeo fans in Folsom will have the option for a second serving of rodeo action this year as the three day Folsom Pro Rodeo has announced it will have a fourth day of rodeo action that will consist of the inaugural Sacramento Sheriff’s Rodeo on July 6, just one day after the traditional rodeo that takes place July 3,4,5 at Dan Russell arena.

“The Folsom Pro Rodeo is thrilled about this partnership with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s and is excited to bring y’all a fourth night of rodeo,” said a statement shared by the Folsom Chamber of Commerce announcing the additional event. “Don’t miss the rodeo action at the Folsom Pro Rodeo this July 3, 4 & 5, and enjoy the first annual Sacramento Sheriff’s Rodeo on July 6th, dedicated to the Pro/Am Sacramento Sheriff’s Rodeo.”

The one day Sacramento Sheriff’s Rodeo is being presented in part by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Foundation (SCSF).  The SCSF supports the Sheriff’s Office by providing equipment, training, and aid to employees and their families.

The SCSF focuses on combating drug use and gang activity among young students while bringing together donors, leaders, and nonprofits to back philanthropic projects within the community. These initiatives improve law enforcement techniques and services, aiming to enhance safety and reduce crime in Sacramento County, according to their website.

While all of the fine details of the one day event that takes place in the wake of the 63th Folsom Pro Rodeo are being finalized, organizers promise the event will have all of the thrills they would expect in rodeo. From the Grand Entry to the Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, and more. From the Grand Entry Welcome to the fireworks finale, enjoy non-stop excitement for the whole family. Don’t miss out on Mutton Busting, the Hide Race, and a live concert.

“Support the Sacramento Sheriff’s Rodeo and don’t miss out on this incredible event featuring the Sheriff’s Stampede, Hide Race, Toro Totters, Mutton Busting, Flying Cowboyz, dazzling fireworks, and more,” added the Folsom Chamber.
