After being notified by an alert citizen, Folsom Police arrested two men early Monday morning who were burglarizing cars in a local neighborhood and were in possession of a stolen vehicle.
When a local citizen noticed someone attempting to break into a neighbors truck on Gilded Rock Circle in Folsom early Monday, a call was made to Folsom Police quickly responded and located the suspects in a vehicle fleeing the area.
There were four confirmed vehicle burglaries on the same block in addition to the several others we had over the weekend. Folsom Police have not disclosed the specific address at this time due to the active investigation.
Nickolas Lopez 33, of Citrus Heights and Mark Abell, 39, of Sacramento were contacted in a stolen vehicle that contained a variety of stolen property, from license plates, tools, apparel, throwing stars, camera equipment, ice skates and more. There was even a waffle maker in the collection of goods. Officers also located narcotics, several types of vehicle keys that had been altered, and burglary tools.
Both subjects were booked into the Sacramento County Main jail on several theft related charges on Monday. Booking records for both suspects show they were booked on multiple charges and then released as of Monday, Feb. 26.
