FOLSOM — It was a night of celebration, tradition, and triumph at Prairie City Stadium on Friday as Folsom High School crowned its 2025 Homecoming King and Queen and capped off a week of festivities with a commanding 48–7 victory over Whitney High School.
The packed home crowd cheered as seniors Travis Sky Gama and Noutrie Mounlaphasith were crowned during the halftime ceremony, continuing one of Folsom High’s most cherished homecoming traditions. The pair received a warm ovation from classmates, families, and alumni as the marching band played and the cheer squad filled the field in a vibrant halftime celebration that perfectly captured the spirit of Bulldog Nation.
Friday’s homecoming game marked the culmination of a full week of events celebrating school pride and community spirit. Earlier in the week, the annual Homecoming Parade brought hundreds to Historic Folsom, where students, athletes, and school clubs filled Sutter Street with music, floats, and color. The parade ended with a spirited rally at the Zittel Family Amphitheater, featuring performances by school music groups and cheer, along with the introduction of the 2025 Homecoming Court. Float competition results were also announced, with the Senior Class of 2025 taking first place honors, followed by the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen.
By the time the Bulldogs took the field Friday night, that same energy had carried over to Prairie City Stadium. Folsom’s offense wasted no time taking control, striking early and often to build a 14–0 lead in the first quarter. The defense continued to dominate, forcing multiple punts and keeping Whitney off the board through the half.

At halftime, with the Bulldogs leading 27–0, the spotlight shifted from the scoreboard to center field for the homecoming ceremony. The stadium lights glowed as students, faculty, and families looked on while Gama and Mounlaphasith were crowned before the home crowd — a tradition that continues to unite generations of Bulldogs each year.
When play resumed, Folsom only added to the excitement. The Bulldogs broke the game open in the third quarter with a long punt return for a touchdown that sent the home fans to their feet. Whitney managed a late score, but Folsom answered immediately with a deep passing touchdown and another long scoring play to seal the 48–7 victory.
The win keeps Folsom unbeaten in Sierra Foothill League play and reinforces its standing as one of Northern California’s premier football programs. But for many in attendance, the night was about more than just football — it was about community, tradition, and the pride that comes with being part of Folsom High’s homecoming legacy.
