Community members and local leaders gathered for the event, which featured remarks from Folsom Mayor Justin Raithel, City Council Member Barbara Leary, City Commissioner Hla Elkhatib and State Deputy Controller Hasib Emran as the café formally opened its doors to the public. The Folsom location is locally operated by Assad Al-Baijat and Mohammed Al-Baijat, who brought the rapidly growing coffee concept to the city as part of Haraz Coffee House’s continued expansion. The opening reflects a focus on creating a welcoming neighborhood space rooted in tradition while contributing to Folsom’s local business community.

Haraz Coffee House is a fast-growing franchise with deep ties to Yemeni coffee history. The concept was founded in 2021 by Hamzah Nasser, who opened the first Haraz Coffee House in Dearborn, Michigan, with a mission to share Yemeni coffee culture and heritage through an elevated café experience that quickly resonated with coffee lovers.

By blending traditional Yemeni coffee practices with modern flavors and presentation, the brand has positioned itself as both a cultural ambassador and a rising name in the specialty coffee industry.

Nasser, now widely recognized as “The Face of Coffee,” is known for his dedication to elevating Yemeni coffee on a global scale. Under his vision, Haraz Coffee House has become a place where history, craftsmanship and community intersect.
