A group of outstanding Folsom Cordova Unified School District employees has earned high honors this year, advancing from district-level recognition to take top spots at both the county and state level.
Earlier this year, six FCUSD staff members were named Classified Employees of the Year by the district. Following that recognition, they were submitted for consideration in the broader Sacramento County Classified Employee of the Year program—and they rose to the top.
Folsom High School’s Bryan Cooper has now earned statewide recognition from the California Department of Education, being named a California Classified School Employee of the Year for 2025. Cooper, who works in technical services, was one of only a handful of honorees selected statewide for this prestigious distinction, which celebrates exceptional service in supporting California students.
In addition to the state honor, all six district-level winners were recognized by the Sacramento County Office of Education as Sacramento County Classified School Employees of the Year for 2025. This honor is awarded to classified employees who demonstrate exemplary performance, leadership, and commitment to their school communities.
The county-level honorees are: Bryan Cooper, Technical Services – Folsom High School; Duane Martinez, Transportation Services – Transportation Department; Gerald Worley, Custodial and Maintenance Services – Kinney High School; Manuela Aguilar Dominguez, Food and Nutrition Services – Williamson Elementary; and Terry Douglas, Security Services – Education Services Center.
Their advancement through each level of recognition reflects the vital contributions classified employees make to the overall success of the district.
“We are incredibly proud of the work our classified staff does every day to support students, staff, and families throughout FCUSD,” the district shared. “Thank you for all that you do!”
