Students from across the Folsom Cordova Unified School District recently took their talents beyond the classroom and onto the statewide stage at the 58th annual SkillsUSA California Leadership & Skills Conference — and their performance was nothing short of inspiring.
Held in San Bernardino County, the event brought together thousands of students from all over California to compete, collaborate, and showcase their strengths across dozens of Career Technical Education (CTE) fields. From digital media and health science to engineering and public speaking, the conference gave students a chance to apply their skills in a real-world setting while connecting with future leaders in their industries.
Representing the district with pride were students from Cordova High School, Folsom High School, and Vista del Lago High School. Throughout the multi-day event, these young competitors demonstrated not only technical know-how but also the leadership, teamwork, and professionalism that CTE programs strive to instill.

The event gave students an opportunity to move beyond classroom learning and apply their skills in meaningful, career-connected ways. Their efforts highlighted how experiential learning can fuel both personal growth and professional aspirations. Whether pursuing a future in technology, healthcare, public service, or the arts, FCUSD students embraced the opportunity to grow—and many walked away with newfound confidence and clarity.
Educators and advisors were also recognized for their support and mentorship throughout the journey. Their guidance played a vital role in preparing students for competition and helping them reach new levels of achievement.
Folsom Cordova Unified School District extends a heartfelt congratulations to all of the participants and supporters who made this experience possible. Their success reflects not just academic progress, but the district’s ongoing commitment to preparing students for life after graduation.
