District invites families and residents to learn about modernization priorities and future campus investments
The Folsom Cordova Unified School District will host a virtual community workshop next month to provide residents with an overview of its new Five-Year Facilities Comprehensive Plan and how it will guide the future of school campuses across the district.
The Facilities Comprehensive Plan Community Workshop is scheduled for February 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. and will be held virtually via Zoom. District officials say the workshop is designed to give families, staff, and community members a clearer understanding of how facility needs are identified, how modernization projects are planned, and how long-term investments are prioritized across all schools.
According to the district, the comprehensive planning effort focuses on maintaining safe, functional, and modern learning environments while preparing for future enrollment trends, aging infrastructure, and evolving educational needs. The virtual session will outline how data, community input, and long-range forecasting are used to inform decisions related to campus upgrades and facility improvements.
The workshop also provides an opportunity for participants to learn how long-term facilities planning supports student success by ensuring classrooms, campuses, and support spaces remain aligned with instructional goals and safety standards.
The February 11 workshop will be conducted online, allowing community members to attend remotely and engage in the discussion from home. Advance registration is required to participate in the Zoom webinar.
