Local Girl Scout Ari Nelson came by Station 35 on Glenn Drive and delivered a supply of cookies to the firefighters and staff. According the department’s social media page, the cookies were sent to the department courtesy of Nelson’s uncle all the way in New York City who wanted to thank the department for everything that they do for the community and that what firefighters do for cities everywhere, letting them know it is sincerely appreciated from across the country.

The gesture was much received by the department and during her visit, Nelson had the opportunity to meet Blitz, the department’s therapy dog that is part of the Folsom based Hearts 4 Heroes USA Paw Platoon program.
