A quick and coordinated response by Folsom firefighters, supported by mutual aid crews from El Dorado Hills, kept a Saturday morning garage fire from spreading into a home on Traylen Court. The incident was contained within minutes of their arrival, with the homeowner and pets safe, though the fire left significant damage to the garage and two vehicles inside.

The call came in at 10:08 a.m. reporting a structure fire in Engine 37’s first-due district on Traylen Court. Within minutes, multiple engines, medic units, and command staff from the Folsom Fire Department rolled onto the cul-de-sac. Dispatch records show the response included Engines 34, 37 and 38, Truck 35, medic units, and battalion chiefs.

El Dorado Hills Fire Department crews were also dispatched under the mutual aid system, bringing additional personnel and equipment to support the incident.

When the first units arrived, they found smoke coming from the garage of a single-family home. Crews confirmed the home was evacuated before launching an aggressive fire attack, quickly knocking down the flames and preventing fire from extending into the living areas or outside of the garage. Their rapid work stopped the blaze within minutes and kept damage contained to the garage.

The garage and two vehicles sustained significant fire damage.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury during the response, was evaluated at the hospital, and later released. No other injuries were reported.
