Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening as Folsom History presents Making History: Eat. Create. Celebrate. The community fundraising event will take place on Thursday, April 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Square, located at 196 Wool Street in Historic Folsom.

Guests are invited to sample irresistible dishes from local favorites, sip wines from Crystal Basin Cellars, and enjoy craft brews from Red Bus Brewery. The evening also features live art demonstrations, hands-on creative activities, and a celebration of the people and traditions that make Folsom unique.

Additional participants include members of Placerville’s Hangtown Fiber Guild, demonstrating fiber cultivation and weaving, and Folsom artist Amy Griffin, who will showcase her handmade, nature-inspired pottery.

Attendees can also take part in a silent auction featuring a variety of unique items and experiences. Music for the evening will be provided by the SkyKings3, performing a blend of country rock and Americana classics.

The fundraiser supports Folsom History’s expanding efforts to better serve the community. In recent years, the organization has introduced new exhibits, a community quilting project, improved access to its archives, and made visible enhancements to The Square. Major milestones also include the near-completion of the Ashland Station restoration.

“We believe that The Square is a wonderful place in a community like Folsom to bring people together, similar to how historic town squares functioned. We look forward to activating the area in the heart of Historic Folsom on a more frequent basis,” said Rita Mukherjee Hoffstadt, Executive Director of Folsom History.
