Summer is in full swing in Folsom. While we kicked off July with record-breaking heat, it’s not slowing down our business community!

Folsom Pro Rodeo Thank You

This year’s Folsom Pro Rodeo was a success in every sense of the word. Thank you to the Folsom community for the incredible support of the 63rd anniversary of the Folsom Pro Rodeo!

Despite the warmer-than-average temperatures, THREE sold-out performances brought the spirit of the 4th of July and the heart of our community together in a phenomenal way.

Our loyal fans welcomed the chance to make new family memories. I want to recognize the many hard-working volunteers, sponsors, and our team at Choose Folsom who made this another incredible event!

This year, we had a new addition to the Rodeo tradition – the first-ever Sacramento County Sheriff’s Rodeo on Saturday, July 6! A collaborative effort between the Folsom Pro Rodeo and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s office, the inaugural pro-am rodeo featured local Sac County Sheriffs in classic events such as bull riding, barrel racing, and roping.

I’ve said it many times before – our community is capable of great things. Recently, Price Walker, vice president of project development for Elliott Homes, was highlighted for his efforts to partner with Sutter Health in constructing a new Ambulatory Care Complex in Folsom,

The project, which will include radiation services and an infusion center, means that Folsom residents will not have to travel for oncology services.

It’s one of very few partnerships for Elliott Homes, and the project is personal for Walker, a Folsom resident whose wife had to travel more than an hour a day to Roseville for oncology services.
