After a lengthy investigation, a Folsom man has been arrested in connection to a robbery and an assault that occurred in the city back in September of last year.

“Some cases may take longer than others to resolve, but the Folsom Police Department remains committed to its mission to the relentless pursuit of criminal behavior and to the safety and security of our community,” said the Folsom Police Department as they released details of the arrest late Monday.

Back on September 17, 2023, Folsom Police officers responded to a robbery call on  the 2500 block of Blue Ravine Road. During the robbery, the unidentified suspect assaulted the victim, an Iraq War veteran, as he stole his property and fled from the scene,” according to the report released by the Folsom Police Department. 

Officers from Folsom Police Department’s Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Unit took over the investigation of the incident and eventually identified the suspect as Adrian Watson, 49, of Folsom. Folsom police officers located Watson on Sunday and arrested on charges related to robbery and battery.

Watson was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on Sunday. Upon review of Sacramento County Jail records, Watson’s court date is unknown and he is no longer shows as being in custody.
