Several members of the Folsom Police Department have been recognized for extraordinary bravery after their quick actions helped save a life during a medical emergency last year.
This week, Officers Sena, Robertson, Chernyavskiy, and Vail were each presented with Life Saving Awards by the Sacramento Police Department.
The honor stems from a 2023 incident in which the officers immediately responded when a community member faced a life-threatening emergency. Their fast decision-making and coordinated response were credited with preventing a tragedy.
Police officials emphasized that the award reflects the dedication and readiness these officers bring to their work each day. Folsom officers regularly face unpredictable situations while serving the community, but in this case, their training and commitment came together in a way that made the difference between life and death.
“We’re honored to have such committed professionals wearing the badge,” the department shared in announcing the recognition.
