A new destination for gamers and collectors is taking shape at Folsom’s Palladio, where Fire and Ice Games is on track to open its newest location within the first quarter of 2026.
The locally owned gaming and trading card retailer is moving into an approximately 4,800-square-foot space at 250 Palladio Parkway, Suite 1319, bringing a blend of retro and modern gaming culture to the Palladio at Broadstone shopping center.
The store is a big undertaking for ownership as it continues to expand its footprint and will offer video games spanning multiple generations, popular trading card games such as Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering, collectibles, and console repair services, while also serving as a hub for in-store events and tournaments.
Fire and Ice Games is owned and operated by Ryan Strobel, who launched the first location in Rocklin before expanding to Citrus Heights early last year near Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane. The Folsom store will mark the company’s third location in the region and its first in Folsom.
In addition to retail sales, Fire and Ice Games is known for buying collections, including video games and trading cards, creating a marketplace that appeals to longtime collectors as well as newer players entering the hobby. The business brands itself as a “full-service retro destination,” combining nostalgia with the modern popularity of competitive card games and organized play.

“It brings a unique niche here to the Palladio that we haven’t yet had,” said Gloria Wright, general manager of Palladio at Broadstone. “I know gaming is very big in this area, so I think Fire and Ice will definitely be a benefit to the community.”
As a hybrid video game and trading card shop, Fire and Ice Games appeals to fast-growing customer segments that share strong enthusiasm and multi-generational appeal, from adults reconnecting with classic consoles to younger players drawn to card tournaments and community-based gaming experiences.
The addition of Fire and Ice Games continues Palladio’s evolution as a regional destination that blends shopping, dining, and entertainment, with the upcoming store expected to attract both dedicated hobbyists and casual visitors once it opens its doors in early 2026.
