Many smiles were produced and many heroes were made at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Folsom as the retailing and the Folsom Police Department teamed up for a successful “Shop with a Cop” event, providing Special Olympics athletes with an opportunity to shop for sports gear alongside police officers.
The event featured Sacramento Hall of Fame athletes and gold medalists, celebrating their achievements and allowing them to select top-quality gear to enhance their training and competition experiences. The collaboration highlighted community support for these athletes and strengthened local bonds between law enforcement and residents.
