The Folsom Police located and apprehended a man and a woman from Sacramento Friday afternoon, after license plate reader technology alerted the department that a stolen vehicle had entered the city.
According to Folsom Police reports, it was Friday afternoon that officers were alerted that the stolen vehicle had entered the city limits. Promptly after receiving the intelligence, Folsom Police officers located the vehicle, which was occupied at a local gas station.
Officers approached the stolen vehicle to initial their recovery efforts. The department reports that during a search of the vehicle, officers located multiple tools that are used for performing catalytic converter theft. They also located narcotics, narcotic paraphernalia, and stolen identification cards.
Hung Ngo, 45, an male, and Moui Saelee, 45, a female, both listed as transients of Sacramento, were taken into custody on multiple charges and outstanding warrants.
According to Folsom Police reports and Sacramento County Jail records, Saelee was arrested on theft charges and later released, at this time Sacramento County Jail records on Saelee’s specific charges was unavailable.
Ngo, remained in custody as of Sunday afternoon and faces several felony and misdemeanor charges including grand theft, vehicle theft, receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools as well as an outstanding warrant.
