After an extensive investigation which included the use of call-out detectives and Crime Scene Investigators, officers determined that the victim,  a 43-year-old man who’s name is being withheld at this time was reportedly sleeping near a business when a maintenance worker, a 57-year-old man from Sacramento, was using a pressure washer to clean the walkway around the business.

The victim claimed  he was sprayed without provocation, while the pressure washer operator  reported that he made several requests for the sleeping man to move, and after the worker cleaned the other areas of the business, he again asked the man to move.

The worker told police that  the 43-year-old got up and began chasing him, making threatening statements. The worker reported that he tried to run away but could not and grabbed his pressure washer, spraying the 43-year-old from a distance away in self defense.

The 43-year-old worker reportedly continued to charge toward the worker through the spraying water and a struggle ensued over the nozzle of the pressure washer.  During the struggle, the high pressure water spray reportedly cut the skin on the chest and throat of the 43-year-old man.
