The Folsom Police Department continues to recruit top officers and staff its force in an effort to make sure the city is well served when it comes to safety in the community. After a series of retirements over the past year, the city has been working with less officers than they were originally budgeted for
The newest addition to the department is Officer Deidre McAuliff, who was recently welcomed to the city by Folsom Police Chief and sworn in during a small ceremony at the Folsom Police Department.
Officer McAuliff comes to Folsom after previously working on the Sacamento Police Department. She was on the force at Sacramento since 2019. During her time downtown, McAuliff held a variety of assignments which included being a Field Training Officer and Problem Oriented Policing. Officer McAuliff holds bachelor’s degree in history. In addition to being on patrol protecting the Folsom Community, McAulliff will be taking the role of school resource officer in the future.
“Recruiting high-caliber officers is paramount to the success of our department,” said Hillman. “I am pleased that we have always been able to recruit the best in our profession.”
McAulliff is a graduate of Sacramento State University,When she isn’t patrolling and protecting the community of Folsom, Officer Maculliff loves to visit Disneyland and spend time with her friends and family.
