The Folsom Police Department continues to recruit and staff its force in an effort to make sure the city is well served when it comes to safety in the community.
The newest addition to the department is Police Officer, Linh Vo, who was recently sworn in and welcomed by Folsom Police Chief Rick Hillman and city officials.
“Recruiting high-caliber officers is paramount to the success of our department,” said Hillman. “I am pleased that we have always been able to recruit the best in our profession, and Officer Vo is no exception. Welcome to Folsom, Officer Vo.”
Vo comes to the Folsom Police Department after serving on Sacramento Police Department where he was a police officer assigned to patrol operations. Prior to being a police officer in Sacramento, Vo was a correctional guard with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations.
Folsom’s newest officer is 31 years old and was born in Stockton. Officer Vo originally obtained his Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology at Carrington College prior to choosing to pursue a career in law enforcement.
Officer Vo is engaged, when he isn’t on duty, he loves cooking and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The Folsom Police Department continues to actively recruit for qualified police officers and trainees.
