FOLSOM — Motorists traveling along Blue Ravine Road near School Street Monday evening encountered a significant law enforcement and first responder presence after a rollover traffic collision brought emergency crews into the area shortly before 5:40 p.m.
Based on natural dispatch information and information at the scene, the incident occurred on School Street near Blue Ravine Road, prompting a multi-unit response from the Folsom Fire Department along with officers from the Folsom Police Department. Several fire units arrived within minutes as police secured the area and began assessing traffic impacts around the crash site.
When firefighters reached the scene, they found a vehicle that had rolled over with no driver present. According to police, the driver — a female — had fled on foot along School Street. Officers searched the surrounding neighborhood and located her a short distance away, detaining her as part of the ongoing investigation.

Traffic along Blue Ravine Road and nearby residential streets was slowed as emergency personnel worked to secure the overturned vehicle and ensure there were no additional hazards during the busy evening commute. Crews remained on scene for an extended period before clearing.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and police were working to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
