Summer is in full swing here in Folsom, and there are plenty of reasons to celebrate well beyond Independence Day.
This year’s Folsom Pro Rodeo was a success in every sense of the word. Thank you to the Folsom community for the incredible support of the 64th anniversary of the Folsom Pro Rodeo!
The event brought the spirit of the 4th of July and the heart of our community together in a phenomenal way. Our loyal fans welcomed the chance to make new family memories. I want to recognize the many hard-working volunteers, sponsors, and our team at Choose Folsom who made this another incredible event!
PowerSchool New CEO and Tech & Learning’s Best in Show Award
After more than 10 years in the role, PowerSchool CEO Hardeep Gulati will step down from his leadership role at the innovative edtech company. Former Aspen Technology President and CEO Antonio Pietri will take over as the new CEO starting in October, bringing extensive experience in building software businesses across complex sectors.
Hardeep has been a longtime friend of Choose Folsom and the Folsom business community, and we wish him well. I look forward to welcoming Antonio to Folsom and all that our community has to offer.
PowerSchool also recently received the Tech & Learning Best of Show Award at ISTE 2025 for its Attendance Intervention Solution, which allows educators to proactively address chronic abseentism and foster student success. The Best of Show awards honor those businesses that are transforming education in schools around the world, making it a significant honor for PowerSchool!
