Units from the Folsom Fire Department and California State Parks are in response to a vegetation fire along the American River Parkway near Lake Natoma Sunday evening.
At 5:03 p.m, three engines, including Folsom Fire Department’s brush fire unit were dispatched to 2480 American River Parkway after multiple 911 calls.
The location is near an area known as China Wall and Nimbus Flats on the south side of Lake Natoma and is in an area off of a dirt trail, north of where Folsom Boulevard interacts with westbound Highway 50 and appears to be accessible off Iron Point Road near the Willow Creek access.
This is an accident active incident, we will provide updates from units on scene below.
5:16 pm: Units from State Parks report that the fire has been extinguished. Units remain on scene investigating.
There is no reported cause of the fire at this time.
