The City of Folsom is gearing up for two highly anticipated homecoming parades as both Folsom High School and Vista del Lago High School prepare to celebrate with their students and the broader community. Residents are invited to attend and show their support while being mindful of road closures during the festivities.
Vista del Lago High School Homecoming Parade
Vista del Lago High School will kick off its homecoming celebration with a parade on Wednesday, September 18. The parade will take place along Golf Links Drive between Empire Oaks Elementary School and Vista del Lago High School. To ensure the safety of participants, the city has announced that Golf Links Drive will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during this time.
Folsom High School Homecoming Parade
Folsom High School will host its homecoming parade the following week on Wednesday, September 25. The parade will wind through the historic district, with road closures in place along Coloma Street, Sutter Street, Reading Street, and Leidesdorff Street. These closures will occur from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Both events promise to showcase school spirit and provide an opportunity for the community to come together in celebration. Local businesses and residents are encouraged to attend and cheer on the students while planning ahead for any traffic delays.
