2024 may be winding down, but we at Choose Folsom sure aren’t. Recently, we’ve unveiled a host of new programs and initiatives designed to create opportunities for businesses, startups, and anyone seeking to grow their business in Folsom.
The Innovation Center at Granite School: I’ve talked about Granite Grammar School and its storied history as one of the early examples of innovation in Folsom before, but it bears repeating.
The school, designed by George C. Sellon, who created Sacramento’s first skyscraper, was ahead of its time with an E-shape layout, optimized lighting and ventilation to help students and teachers perform at their best. FEDCorp (Folsom’s Economic Development Corporation) purchased Granite School in 2021.
Over the last three years, Choose Folsom has reimagined it into the Innovation Center at Granite School, a state-of-the-art co-working and collaboration space for entrepreneurs, startups, and community leaders.I’m thrilled about this new space and the programs we’re hosting there, including the new Choose Folsom Workspace and Project Momentum.
Choose Folsom Workspace: The newest coworking space in Folsom is more than a place to work. It’s a place to build community.
Home to multiple startups and the Choose Folsom brand, which includes the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, the Tourism Bureau, and Economic Development, our workspace is a hub of innovation and collaboration. Network with like-minded professionals, attend exclusive events, and participate in Folsom’s vibrant business ecosystem. Learn more about the workspace and how to join here.
Project Momentum: Designed to revitalize businesses, Project Momentum is intended for for-profit companies located in Sacramento County* whose business was impacted by COVID-19.
We’ve assembled a team of experienced experts to provide tailored guidance on restarting your business, effective planning, impactful marketing, accelerated growth strategies, and navigating opportunities for loans and investments.
From helping you find the right employees to supporting you as you reclaim your success, Project Momentum helps your business take center stage. Learn more about Project Momentum here.
2025 State of the City: The Chamber’s Annual State of the City Luncheon is on Thursday, January 23, at Lakeside Folsom. It’s the official kickoff to the business year and an opportunity to welcome our new mayor and network with the business community. Join us to hear the Mayor’s State of the City Address and learn how the City of Folsom continues to thrive. Reserve your spot here.
2025 HER Women’s Conference: Save the date for the 2025 Her Women’s Conference, which will be held on March 14 at the Harris Center for the Arts While our sellout event has changed seasons, the high-quality content, engaging workshops, and thought-provoking discussions will continue to inspire this spring. I’m looking forward to this year’s speakers, an exceptional lineup of innovators, trailblazers, and champions of change. Early bird tickets are now available through December 31. Get yours here.
