Powerhouse Pub, located in Historic Folsom, has stepped up its game with comes to stepping on the dance floor. Music fanatics will no longer be busting a move on a stagnant dim dance floor, but rather a visually intriguing state of the art LED dance floor that brings a night our dancing to a whole new level of fun.

According to Murray Weaver, property owner of the longtime venue located at 614 Sutter Street in Folsom, the new addition doesn’t only offer a variety of moving visual graphics, changing colors and more, it can even be personalized for a special event or special night.

Earlier this year, Weaver was named to the Choose Folsom Hall of Fame by the Folsom Chamber of Commerce for his continued commitment to keeping Folsom entertained, adding to local tourism and giving numerous hard working musicians a venue to perform at regularly.

“We can go wild bright or dim with any video of your liking,” they shared in an email to Folsom Times. “Even your own beautiful mug for your birthday or special corporate occasion.”

When it comes to local live music, Powerhouse offers something on just about every night or day of the week, so you don’t have to wait until Friday night for fun. Afterall, what if your day off is Monday and Tuesday is technically your Friday?  Powerhouse has you covered.

The week of entertainment at Powerhouse Pub begins on Tuesday’s as they offer Live Band Karaoke. You read that right, guests can take the stage and the microphone and enjoy karaoke being backed but by an actual live band. It starts each Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. The evening is free admission and guests must be 21 or over.

If Wednesday night is your preferred night to go out and enjoy some live entertainment, you can do so and save some money while doing it as every Wednesday Powerhouse presents “Free Music Wednesdays,” an ideal offering in current challenging economic times and if your looking a cheap date night option. 

Is country music your thing?  Every Thursday evening, Powerhouse presents Country Thursday’s, a night that is dedicated all to country music performers. It’s a great night to gather your friends for some weeknight line dancing to some of the areas favorite country bands.

When it comes to Friday, Saturday’s an Sunday’s, anyone around Folsom knows these are busy nights in town. Powerhouse offers a number of options to get your weekend started, keep it going, and wrap it all up. 

On Friday’s the entertainment starts as early as 7:00 p.m. with the TGIF Early Show bringing popular bands to the stage for those that want to dance the night away but wrap it up earlier.  The fun continues on Friday nights with headlining bands taking the stage at 10:00 p.m. 

On most Saturday’s, the fun starts with the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party at 3:00 p.m. Saturday nights culminate with headlining acts then taking the stage at 10:00 every single week.  

Sunday afternoons, Historic Folsom hosts some of the region’s most talented blues artists in unique billing at Powerhouse. The Powerhouse of Blues brings these various artists on stage every Sunday beginning at 3:00 p.m. for a great offering to wind up your weekend with a dose of the blues, performed by some of finest across the state.  

Powerhouse operates Tuesday through Friday from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. and Saturday and Suuday’s from 12 p.m. until 1:15 am.  The venue is closed on Mondays.  You can see who is performing by visiting their website at www.powerhousepub.com.
