Russell Ranch Elementary School’s campus transfored into a bustling racetrack last week, as students from kindergarten through fifth grade participated in the school’s annual Jogathon event, affectionately dubbed the “Stampede.” The event brought the school community together to raise funds while boosting school spirit, with students, teachers, family members, and the school mascot all joining in on the fun.
Students, organized by grade level and class, lined up eagerly to begin their laps, each carrying a lap card to track their progress. Family volunteers stationed around the course marked off laps as the children ran, while fellow students and family members cheered from the sidelines, offering encouragement and motivation.
Adding to the excitement, teachers and administrative staff dressed up in bright, colorful costumes, embodying the school’s spirit as they ran alongside students. Principal Meghan Schooler joined the festivities as a “magical mustang” unicorn, symbolizing school pride. In a memorable moment, Schooler ran hand-in-hand with two students, encouraging them to reach their goals.
“A heartfelt thanks goes to Principal Schooler, dedicated teachers, and family volunteers who made the Stampede a success. Their support and collaboration made for an unforgettable day at Russell Ranch, helping fund school programs and celebrating each “little mustang’s” accomplishments on the track.
