Notice of Allowance strengthens AlignSmart® global expansion and predictive health innovation
A long established name in Folsom’s healthcare community is celebrating a major federal milestone. Symmetry for Health, a Folsom-based healthcare leader with more than 28 years of clinical excellence and a strong presence serving local families and professionals, announced today that it has received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for U.S. Patent Application No. 18/388,508, covering its proprietary technology that powers the AlignSmart® system.
The patent approval marks a significant milestone for the company and reinforces its position at the forefront of predictive, preventative health solutions designed to improve musculoskeletal stability, long-term outcomes, and overall wellness.
Originally developed and refined within the Symmetry for Health clinic, the AlignSmart® methodology has evolved into a standalone global platform. Today, AlignSmart.com certifies healthcare practitioners worldwide, equipping them with a patented system that helps patients hold adjustments longer, improve structural stability, and reduce recurring pain patterns.
Symmetry for Health is the first licensed user of the patented technology, continuing to serve as the clinical innovation hub where the system was developed, validated, and advanced over nearly three decades.

Patrick created this system as a result of his chronic injuries as a baseball player for San Diego State, where he received the MVP award as well as selected to the Academic All Conference for the Western Athletic Conference in 1993. There, he received his B.S. in Athletic Training, and recently was selected to his high school baseball’s Hall of Fame for Amador High.
The growing demand for AlignSmart® extends beyond private practice and into employer and public-sector wellness initiatives. The company is currently contracted with Manatee County, Florida, where AlignSmart® is offered as part of the county’s employee wellbeing program. Additionally, Health Partners of Western Ohio recently introduced AlignSmart® to its workforce, with 187 employees enrolling in the program in 2026, and it is currently in negotiations with the city of Folsom.
