The regular 2024 high school football season is winding down to its final weeks in the CIF San Joaquin Section, with playoffs set to begin in less than two weeks. Friday night, most teams took the field for the ninth week of league play, where all three local teams—Folsom, Vista del Lago, and Oak Ridge—secured victories while another will play Saturday on the road.

Playing on the road under Jesuit’s new stadium lights for the first time, the Folsom Bulldogs dominated the Marauders, continuing their undefeated season with a 55-10 victory. They now look to clinch another Sierra Foothill League (SFL) title next week against Granite Bay.

Many eyes were on Friday’s game—not only was it the first under the lights in Fair Oaks, but it also marked Folsom’s 15th consecutive victory over Jesuit. Carter Jackson opened the scoring with a 65-yard run, putting Folsom up 7-0 early. By the end of the first quarter, Folsom extended the lead to 14-0 with a touchdown pass from Austin Lyons to Leviticus Tupou. Jesuit responded with a 1-yard touchdown from Jack Patock, narrowing the score to 14-7.

Folsom quickly pulled away with a rushing touchdown by Lyons. Jesuit managed a field goal to make it 21-10, but Folsom added two more scores before halftime, including long touchdown passes from Lyons to Tupou, making it 34-10 at the break. The Bulldogs’ defense held strong in the second half, and they added three more touchdowns to secure a decisive 55-10 victory.
