Two energetic bands from the region are set to take the stage at Jan’s Lounge in Orangevale this Friday and Saturday for two nights of indoor entertainment. Keep cool and get out on the dance floor if you desire!

On Friday night, it’s the band Fornis performing at the longtime Orangevale venue. Then, Saturday night, the Mad Hatters will make their way to the Jan’s Lounge stage.

The entertainment kicks off at 9 p.m. on Friday night with Fornis hitting the stage. The band is a progressive three-piece outfit inspired by early rock, with musical elements of power pop, doo-wop, oldies, punk, and new wave. With catchy, twangy, and bouncy tunes that are lilted with glam rock and marbled with Jerry Lee Lewis-style rock and roll, Fornis brings a style all their own. Bridging the gap between the past and the future, they create a unique rock and roll experience that you won’t find anywhere else. Fornis plays until 1 a.m. on Friday, and there is no cover charge.

On Saturday, the Mad Hatters hit the stage at 9 p.m. According to the music billing from Jan’s Lounge, the Mad Hatters will keep you dancing all night, playing hits from the ’80s, ’90s, and current charts. The band plays until 1 a.m., and there is no cover charge on Saturday night as well.

Jan’s Lounge is located at 9222 Greenback Lane in Orangevale. In addition to live music each week, Jan’s Lounge offers a full bar, cold beer, food, darts, shuffleboard, sports on nine big screen TVs, DJ trivia, country line dancing lessons, dancing, and more. Learn more at www.jans-lounge.com.
