Four Barrel will take the stage at Jan’s Lounge in Orangevale on Saturday for an evening of energetic live entertainment, perfect for enjoying over cocktails or out on the dance floor of the longtime popular nightspot. It will be the first of two nights of live music, with Four Barrel performing on Saturday night.

Hailing from Woodland, California, Four Barrel is a high-energy dance band known for its dynamic performances, covering rock hits from the 1960s to today. The group is made up of seasoned musicians who bring decades of experience and passion to every show.

Phillip Lovejoy, the band’s lead guitarist and vocalist. According to the band’s website, Lovejoy is a founding member of Four Barrel who has been playing guitar since the age of 15. His musical journey started in fifth grade with the trumpet, continuing through school wind ensembles before he picked up the guitar, influenced by classic rock legends like Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. His electrifying blues-rock style adds a signature edge to Four Barrel’s sound.

Teri Alison leads the band’s vocals with powerhouse energy, a passion that started when she took the stage at just eight years old to sing “Rhinestone Cowboy” with a local band. Hooked from that moment, she grew up immersed in music, inspired by artists like Pat Benatar. A friend encouraged her to join Weekend Warriors, which gave her the opportunity to front her first band, launching a performing career that has included groups such as Unlicensed Therapy, Straight Shooter, and Press Play. Her commanding stage presence and dynamic voice keep audiences engaged from start to finish.

Bassist Dale Warner picked up his instrument at 15 and quickly became immersed in the rock, blues, and jazz scenes. Originally from Woodland, he moved to Santa Cruz in 1975 and later to Los Angeles, where he became part of the thriving music scene, playing in various projects and even touring nationally as an opener for the legendary Minutemen. According the band’s backstory, 1992, he released his first solo record, Uncle Dale, Tell’n Stories, and went on to front The Rubatos, a band known for its improvisational elements. After more than three decades in Los Angeles, Dale returned to Woodland in 2017, where he ran into Phillip at a hardware store. The casual meeting turned into an opportunity, and soon after, he joined Four Barrel, bringing his solid bass grooves to the band’s energetic performances.

Ken Hockensmith holds down the rhythm section on drums, delivering driving beats that fuel the band’s high-energy shows. Together, the group creates a dynamic live music experience that keeps fans dancing and singing along all night long.
