Wasted Space kicks off five week series this Friday, Sept. 19
FOLSOM—Live music is returning to the heart of Palladio this fall, bringing five straight Friday nights of entertainment, community spirit, and dancing under the stars. The new Friday Night Live Music in the Piazza series kicks off September 19 and continues weekly through October 17 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Presented by Palladio in partnership with the Rotary Club of Folsom, the free series invites residents and visitors alike to grab their lawn chairs, lace up their dancing shoes, and enjoy a lineup of bands covering everything from classic rock to funk and modern hits. Each show is family-friendly and open to all ages.
The opening night on September 19 will feature Wasted Space, a local classic rock band. In a nod to Folsom’s Italian Sister City partnership, the kickoff evening will celebrate Italian culture with free tiramisu desserts for the first 250 guests and a special prosecco cocktail available for purchase.
The series will keep the energy going with G-Ride, a funk cover band, on September 26, followed by Have Mercyperforming top 40 hits on October 3. On October 10, Hey Monkey will deliver a set of rock favorites from the 1970s through the 1990s, before Mere Mortals closes out the series October 17 with a dance-rock performance spanning the 1960s to the 1990s.
Sponsors of the event include Elliott Homes, AKT Development, Cummings Enterprises, and the Rotary Club of Folsom, who are helping to ensure the concerts remain free for the community.
Friday Night Live Music in the Piazza promises to bring together families, friends, and neighbors for evenings filled with food, fun, and unforgettable music.
