Do you love books?  Do love saving money on books and want to help your community library?  If you answered yes to either of those, Folsom has just the event for you next week. Friday Sept. 6 through Sunday Sept. 8 is the Friends of The Folsom Library Annual Fall Book Sale at the Folsom Public Library.

This event begins Friday afternoon, Sept. 6 for early birds that want to peruse the largest selection of books for sale before the weekend rush. Friday’s early sale takes place and there is an extra perk for Friends of the Folsom Library members. Friday’s hours will be from 4-7 p.m. in the main meeting room of the Folsom Public Library at 411 Stafford Street in Folsom. Friday’s early access does have an admission of $5, the price to become a member of the Friends of Folsom Library and support their efforts.

The added perk for Friends of the Folsom Library members is there will be a one-hour pre-entry period on Friday for members only prior to the regular hours, which is a great deal work the price of a membership if you are wanting the best selection. If you are not yet a member, visit the Friends website at www.foflib.org. You can also purchase membership at the book sale.

Saturday and Sunday admission to the sale is free of charge. Saturday the hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.. and all books are regular price, which is $2 for most books and .50 for children’s books.  On Sunday the sale hours are 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. no admission and the cost of books gets even better, just $5 for a standard size grocery bag filled with books of your choice.
