Friends-focused shopping night set for Feb. 12 along Historic Sutter Street
Just a couple of days before Valentine’s Day, Historic Folsom will transform Sutter Street into a celebration of friendship, local shopping and community connection when Galentine’s Passport Shopping Night returns on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The free event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. throughout the Folsom Historic District, inviting friends to gather for an evening of shopping, sipping and sampling while strolling through more than 20 participating shops along Historic Sutter Street. Designed as a Galentine’s-themed night out, the event encourages guests to shop local, connect with friends and experience Historic Folsom in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
Throughout the evening, participating businesses will offer complimentary sips and nibbles as shoppers explore boutiques, specialty shops and local retailers. Attendees can also expect exclusive discounts, product drops, raffles and giveaways available only during the event, creating a passport-style experience that rewards those who visit multiple locations during the night.
Music and DJ entertainment will add to the lively setting, while photo opportunities throughout the district give groups a chance to capture memories as they make their way down Sutter Street. Organizers say Galentine’s Passport Shopping Night is designed to be a relaxed, walkable experience that highlights the charm of Historic Folsom while giving residents and visitors a reason to linger, explore and support small businesses.
Following the conclusion of the shopping portion of the evening, guests are invited to continue the celebration at an after-party hosted at Fiori, located at 614 Sutter Street, Suite C. The after-party will feature food and drink specials, and raffle winners from Galentine’s Passport Shopping Night will be announced during the gathering.
Free public parking will be available for the event at the parking structure located at 905 Leidesdorff Street, at the corner of Reading Street and Leidesdorff Street. The parking structure provides convenient access to Historic Sutter Street and surrounding businesses, allowing attendees to easily enjoy the full evening without the need to move their vehicles.
Galentine’s Passport Shopping Night is free to attend and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to follow the event’s Facebook page for updates and additional details as the date approaches.
