It’s been a busy spring at Choose Folsom, with events like this week’s Future Folsom, summer concert announcements, a redesigned website, and more.

More Folsom Business Networking Opportunities

Missed Future Folsom? It was a terrific event, if I say so myself. With experts including Sadie St. Lawrence on artificial intelligence (AI), Chris Jacobs on the future of the car industry, Dr. John Gisla on the future of healthcare, and Ken Hira on the future of development, the morning was educational, informative, and entertaining.

That said, there’s another event you won’t want to miss. Mark your calendar for next month’s Meet the Leaders on May 25. It will feature valuable insights into Folsom’s business climate, an opportunity to meet with city leaders, and plenty of networking with the business community.  Check out the Choose Folsom page for more details soon.

New Country Music Concert Announced

The Folsom Pro Rodeo is a fun tradition for good reason (and tickets are now on sale). We welcome the addition of a country music concert right before the weekend of rodeo excitement. The Ride Into the Music Festival will feature a roster of talent, including Tyler Rich, Chris Lane, Canaan Smith and Moonshine Crazy. The concert will be held on June 30 next to Folsom Lake College.

Redesigned Choose Folsom Websites

Our team has been hard at work on two new websites, ChooseFolsom.com and VisitFolsom.com. With easy navigation, updated information, and new branding, the two sites provide helpful content for businesses, visitors, and locals.

The new Choose Folsom site also features economic indicators, resources such as a community job board, information on workforce development, utilities, and more relevant data points, plus an economic development newsletter. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Project Ideas Needed for Community Service Day

Folsom’s annual Community Service Day celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The citywide event, to be held on September 16, will mobilize thousands of volunteers to complete a long list of service projects.

This year’s call for service projects is open. You have until June 30 to submit your project ideas. Please share the word, as the more project ideas are submitted, the better!
