Get a sneak peek of Santa’s Folsom Sleigh this week at Visconti’s, Leatherby’s as annual toy drive continues

Get ready, Folsom kids—and kids at heart! Santa Claus is coming to town, escorted by Folsom police and fire crews. The annual Folsom Santa Run is set to hit the streets later this week, and the schedule has been released for “Santa fans” across the community.

Presented annually by the Folsom Police Officers Association with support from community volunteers and the Folsom Fire Department, the event runs from Dec. 8 to Dec. 14, with a break on Dec. 9 so Santa and his Folsom Police elves can participate in another special event.

The Folsom Santa Run has long been a cherished tradition. Santa and Mrs. Claus, accompanied by police and fire units with flashing lights, Christmas music, and sirens, will visit neighborhoods throughout Folsom. Families line the streets to greet them each year, creating memories that span generations.

In addition to spreading holiday cheer, the event collects non-perishable food donations for the Twin Lakes Food Bank. Families who wish to participate can contribute while enjoying the festive spectacle.

Each evening, Santa and Mrs. Claus will depart the Folsom Police Department at 5 p.m., starting Dec. 8. Their routes and stops will be posted nightly at www.folsomsantatracker.com, allowing residents to follow Santa’s progress in real time.

Before the Santa Run officially begins, Santa’s sleigh will be making appearances at Visconti’s Ristorante on Dec. 3, and Leatherby’s Family Creamery on Dec. 7. At each location, the sleigh will be on display starting at 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys for the annual Police Officers Association Toy Drive (see related story here), along with cash or food donations for the Twin Lakes Food Bank.
