Its a night of country music entertainment ahead as Red Hawk Casino Resort Casino welcomes Kirk Basquez and Los Vaqueros to the casino stage bar Saturday night.
Born and raised in Northern California and coming from a large family of musicians, Basquez always cites that, “country music is his jam,” as he has been on musical journey in which was he influenced to venture on by some of country music’s biggest names.
That journey started when Matthew was just six years old when his mother bought him his first guitar and the rest is history as followed influences of Hank Williams Jr. Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, John Mayer and many others.
Basquez loves performing live on stage most of all, where he strives to give his fans the same joy music gives him. “There is nothing better than experiencing the energy from a crowd that loves your style of music, “ says Basquez, who is known for a variety of shows in the region including many in South Lake Tahoe. He has also done a great deal of collaboration with the well known Cripple Creek Band.
Entertainment starts at 10 p.m. and goes until 2 a.m. each night. There is no cover charge for the events at Red Hawk Casino’s stage bar.
Evening live music isn’t the only entertainment at Red Hawk Casino. Two nights of family Halloween fun ahead at Red Hawk’s APEX
The Apex at Red Hawk Resort and Casino will host their first ever Spooktacular Halloween Celebration this coming week.
The event will be Monday Oct. 30 and Tuesday October 31 inside the Apex, Red Hawk’s deluxe interactive family entertainment venue. The event will host a variety of free activities and special discounts for others during both evenings.
Among the activities for families and their little goblins, fairies and super heroes will be a scavenger hunt. This will give youngsters the opportunity to hunt for candy treats at nine secret locations throughout the Apex.
There will also be a chance for participants to showcase their creativity and style with a costume contest on both evenings. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes each evening.
When it comes to checking out the many aspects and amenities The Apex has to offer, both evenings will host discounts. Guests can enjoy half-price arcade games, including the exhilarating Hurricane Roller Coaster from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm both nights.
There two night event will also offer exclusive discounts on karting during both evenings. Glow racing on the track will be another one of the special activities throughout the evening. According to Red Hawk Casino staff, those who participate in all of the activities during the event, and complete their punch card they receive as they enter, will receive a free karting voucher for a future visit as well.
The activity takes place from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on both October 30, 31. During the event, visitors of all ages can also enjoy dining in The Apex, take in a game of bowling, check out virtual golf, grab a bite to eat the Apex Grill or watch a game on one of the many big screen televisions at The Apex sports bar as well.
