Sessions scheduled Feb. 4–5 at Sacramento State Aquatic Center, with in-person and virtual attendance options

The California Boating and Waterways Commission will convene in Gold River next week for a public workshop and its first quarterly meeting of 2026, bringing together commissioners, state staff and community members to discuss boating programs and waterway initiatives across California.

The public workshop is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center. The session is designed to provide clarification and guidance on various grant programs and administrative processes managed through the Division of Boating and Waterways. Officials said the workshop is intended to assist local agencies, partners and interested members of the public who are seeking a better understanding of available funding opportunities and program requirements.

Both the workshop and meeting are open to the public. Agendas and additional information for those planning to attend in person are available through California State Parks’ public notices webpage. Participants who are unable to attend in person may also join the Commission meeting virtually via Zoom or Cal-Span.
