Fresh off a highly successful Aftershock Festival last week, the music will continue this week as Danny Wimmer Presents, in partnership with Visit Sacramento turn up the lights and the volume once again for the GoldenSky Country Music Festival, set to take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Discovery Park. The festival will be headlined by country music superstars Keith Urban on Friday, Thomas Rhett on Saturday, and Luke Bryan on Sunday.
The addition of a third day for the 2024 event comes in response to overwhelming demand and celebrates the festival’s third anniversary. Following a record-breaking attendance of 60,000 in 2023, Golden Sky is poised to offer an unforgettable experience for country music fans across the West Coast.
“We can’t wait to welcome the amazing fans back to Sacramento for another festival experience like no other,” said Mike Testa, President/CEO of Visit Sacramento. “If you’re a country music fan, this is the place you have to be in October.”
In addition to three days of top-tier performances, attendees can expect a vibrant festival atmosphere, featuring the GoldenSky Beer Festival, local Sacramento farm-to-fork food offerings, and a host of local artisans. Festival-goers will also enjoy the River City Saloon & Dance Hall, official festival pre- and post-parties, and many more exciting attractions.
In addition to more than 35 music performances at GoldenSky, fans can look forward to a variety of unique features beyond the music at the festival. The GoldenSky Beer Festival will showcase over 100 different selections of beer, hard seltzer, and ciders daily. The Farmhouse will feature some of Sacramento’s finest dining establishments, providing a local food experience that showcases the region’s culinary excellence. Festival-goers can catch their favorite NCAA and NFL games at Sidelines Sports Bar, shop for unique finds from Central Valley businesses at the El Dorado Market, and enjoy daily activities like line dancing and lessons at the River City Saloon & Dance Hall. Attendees can also sample some of the best wines from local wineries.
“The initial two years of Golden Sky have been truly exceptional, from the incredible artists who graced our stage to the warm embrace of Northern California fans,” said Chamie McCurry, Chief Marketing Officer at Danny Wimmer Presents. “We are thrilled to announce our expansion to a three-day event as we approach our third year nd are excited to introduce Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and Keith Urban to the GoldenSky family!”
