Folsom’s Sutter Street Theatre is set to bring some spine-tingling thrills to the stage with its latest production, “Goosebumps,” adapted from the beloved book series by R.L. Stine. The show opens this Saturday night. Running from October 12 to November 3, this new musical promises to deliver chills and excitement, just in time for Halloween.

Directed by Heather Chapin and Lindy Mallonee, “Goosebumps” follows the adventures of Brooke and Zeke, two young stars eager to take on the mysterious play “The Phantom.” However, when eerie messages start to appear and a masked figure disrupts rehearsals, the duo must confront the possibility of a real ghost haunting their school. Will they solve the mystery in time to save the show?

The production features a captivating book and lyrics by John Maclay, with music and orchestrations by Danny Abosch. Audiences can expect a blend of suspense and musicality, enhanced by the direction of Hannah Hurst and choreography by Thomas LePage.

“Goosebumps” will be performed on Saturdays and Sundays at 1 PM, with a special Halloween show on October 31 at 4 PM. The show is rated PG, making it perfect for families looking for a thrilling outing this fall.
