Acclaimed Nashville honky-tonk artist makes tour stop in Historic Folsom
The timeless sounds of traditional country and honky-tonk storytelling will take center stage Friday night as Hannah Juanita and the Hardliners make a tour stop at the historic Folsom Hotel Saloon, bringing a classic Nashville sound to the heart of Folsom’s Historic District.
Juanita’s journey to the stage has been anything but conventional. Leaving her home state of Tennessee in her early twenties, she set out to see the world without any intention of pursuing music as a career. She traveled widely, worked odd jobs, and spent countless nights singing fireside under open skies with friends, developing a voice and perspective shaped as much by experience as by ambition.
That path eventually led her back to Tennessee and into Nashville, arriving with little more than her dog Loretta, her guitar, and a collection of heartbreak songs. What followed was an organic rise within Music City’s traditional country scene, where Juanita quickly became a respected live performer known for her classic, old-school sound and emotionally honest delivery. Her ability to channel the spirit of country music’s past while keeping it vividly present has earned her a devoted following and widespread respect among peers.
Since 2021, the self-proclaimed ramblin’ gal has toured extensively across the country, both headlining and supporting a long list of acclaimed artists including Kaitlin Butts, Hayes Carll, Braxton Keith, Nick Shoulders, Emily Nenni, Summer Dean, and Jesse Daniel. Those miles on the road have helped define her as an artist whose songs feel lived-in and authentic, delivered with the conviction of someone who has earned every line.
Her debut album, Hardliner, cemented her reputation as a full-hearted, free-spirited honky-tonk presence, praised for its warmth, grit, and sincerity. She followed that release with Tennessee Songbird, her second full-length record produced by Mose Wilson, which arrived in August 2024 to widespread acclaim. The album broke into the Top 40 on the Americana Radio Chart and reached the Top 3 on the Alt Country Chart, signaling Juanita’s growing national profile while staying rooted in traditional country values.
That momentum has continued into 2026, with Juanita named by Grammy.com as one of five female artists creating the future of country music. The recognition underscores her ability to bridge generations of country fans, honoring the genre’s history while pushing its sound forward through honest songwriting and unfiltered performances. New music is expected later this year as she continues to tour across the United States and Europe.
Friday’s performance will take place at the Folsom Hotel Saloon, one of the city’s most enduring live music venues. Established in 1885, the historic hotel sits at the center of the Folsom Historic District and has long paired Old West character with a vibrant modern music scene. Its intimate layout offers a rare chance to experience touring artists up close, making it an ideal setting for Juanita’s emotionally charged, roots-driven sound.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Folsom Hotel Saloon, located at 703 Sutter St. The show is open to all ages. Tickets are available atwww.folsomhotelsaloon.com.
