The Homeless Assistance Resource Team (HART) of Folsom will host its fundraising Holiday Festival this Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Folsom Community Center. The festive event, aimed at raising funds to reduce homelessness through transitional housing, promises a day filled with entertainment, food, and unique holiday shopping.
Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, a multicultural food court, refreshing beverages, and specialty gifts, all while supporting a vital cause. Entry to the festival is $5, with proceeds benefiting HART of Folsom, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding the city’s unhoused population.
Founded in 2016 in response to a city initiative to address winter homelessness, HART of Folsom has grown into a pillar of the community. The organization provides essential services such as a winter shelter, transitional housing, and professional case management to help individuals move toward self-sufficiency and independence. With seven transitional housing units and a dedicated volunteer leadership team, HART of Folsom collaborates with local churches, businesses, and nonprofits to serve the unhoused population.
The Holiday Festival highlights the community’s commitment to making a difference for Folsom’s unhoused residents. By attending, locals can join HART in its mission to provide hope and resources for individuals in need.
Saturday’s event takes place from from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information about the Holiday Festival or HART of Folsom, visit hartoffolsom.org or contact Vijay Jonnalagadda at vijayjonnalagadda@hartoffolsom.org.
