FOLSOM — Just in time for Halloween, the shadows of Folsom’s past will come alive once again as Folsom History brings back its spine-tingling outdoor haunted house, Haunted History. Now in its second year, this chilling attraction promises even more thrills and more terror for those brave enough to step inside.
On select October nights, guests will wind through eerie recreations of historic Folsom, where ghostly figures lurk in every corner. Along the way, you’ll encounter undead train conductors, dodge bloodthirsty butchers, and keep your distance from blacksmiths who have long since crossed over to the other side. The experience blends local history with Halloween fright, creating a one-of-a-kind haunted walk that highlights the darker side of the city’s past.
Haunted History takes place at The Square, Folsom History’s outdoor museum at 196 Wool Street, running from 7 to 9 p.m. on October 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31. Admission is $10 for museum members, $15 for nonmembers, or $50 for a group of four. Guests may arrive anytime during event hours. Because of its frightening themes, the event is recommended for ages 13 and up, or younger children accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds from Haunted History benefit Folsom History, supporting programs that preserve and share the city’s unique past with future generations. For tickets and more information, visit folsomhistory.org/hauntedhistory.
