The City of Folsom is calling on community members to help bring the fun to this year’s 3rd Annual Festival of Eggs—and you can be part of the egg-xcitement by helping Folsom Parks and Recreation prepare for the city’s upcoming Easter tradition.

Every spring, the Festival of Eggs transforms Lembi Park into a colorful celebration for families, filled with fun and memories as little ones head to the many stops along the bunny trail to collect their share of prize filled eggs and goodies along the way, with plenty of activities on their route. But before those thousands of little ones can scoop up their prize-filled treasures, those eggs need to be stuffed—and that’s where the community can come in to lend the Easter Bunny a helping hand, as he is quite busy these days.

On Wednesday, April 16, volunteers will gather the Folsom Community Center for the official Egg Stuffing process, where more than 20,000 plastic eggs will be filled with candy and prize slips. It’s a fun and festive way to roll up your sleeves and give back, whether you’re an individual, a family, or part of a community service group.

Pre-registration is required to attend the stuffing event, and it tends to fill up fast—so don’t delay! To register and learn more about volunteering CLICK HERE.

Preparation will create Festival of Eggs fun

And once the eggs are stuffed and ready, it’s time for the big day! The Festival of Eggs itself takes place on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Lembi Community Park, located at 1302 Riley Street in Folsom. Families are invited to join the fun by following the Bunny Trail, where children can collect stamps, goodies, and eggs along the way. Don’t forget to bring a basket! Those who complete all the Bunny Trail stops will have a chance to win a special Golden Egg Prize. At the end of the trail, kids can snap a picture with the Bunny for a sweet spring memory.

The event will also feature a pancake breakfast available for purchase, carnival games hosted by the Folsom Teen Council, vendor displays, and other festive entertainment and activities for all ages.

To keep things running smoothly, families with children ages 6 and under are encouraged to check in between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m., while those with kids ages 7 to 10 should arrive between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.

This is one of Folsom’s most anticipated seasonal events, offering a chance for the community to come together and celebrate the joy of spring. Whether you’re volunteering to stuff eggs or showing up to explore the Bunny Trail, your participation helps make the event a success.
