FOLSOM — The holiday season is set to shine even brighter in Historic Folsom as the district prepares to host the 57th annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The long-standing tradition remains one of the region’s most anticipated holiday events, drawing thousands of visitors eager to stroll Sutter Street, discover handcrafted treasures, and enjoy the festive charm that has defined this winter celebration for more than five decades.
Stretching across four blocks of Historic Sutter Street and the adjacent public plaza, the fair will feature more than 200 artisan vendors in a juried showcase highlighting high-quality, handmade goods. Shoppers will find a wide range of one-of-a-kind creations, including holiday décor, jewelry, art pieces, woodwork, textiles, specialty gifts, gourmet offerings, and seasonal keepsakes crafted by makers who return year after year.
Live music will add to the spirited atmosphere as performers fill the district with familiar holiday tunes, creating a soundtrack for browsing and exploration. Families will find plenty to enjoy, from interactive craft booths to the district’s lively holiday décor, while food vendors serve a variety of bites and treats throughout the day. The fair also provides a welcome boost for Historic Folsom merchants, as restaurants and shops up and down Sutter Street open their doors for what becomes one of their busiest shopping days of the year.

A highlight of any visit is the Historic Folsom Ice Rink, located at the turntable plaza just steps from the fair. The landmark rink opened earlier this season and has quickly become a beloved stop for families and friends looking to add extra holiday magic to their outing. Whether visitors choose to glide beneath the winter sky or watch the skaters from the sidelines, the rink offers a festive complement to a full day of shopping. It also provides a fun option for children while adults explore the artisan booths nearby.
Fair organizers emphasize that the event continues regardless of the weather, inviting residents and guests to enjoy a “rain or shine” open-air celebration filled with creativity, community, and holiday cheer. Parking will be available with an optional five-dollar donation at 905 Leidesdorff Street. Regional Transit will provide free light rail rides between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for those who scan the QR code on the Historic Folsom event page.
With its blend of artistry, tradition, and small-town holiday charm, the 57th annual Arts & Crafts Fair promises a day that delivers something for every visitor—whether they come to shop, savor local flavors, enjoy live entertainment, or simply wander Historic Folsom in its festive glow. Organizers encourage families, friends, and neighbors to bring their holiday spirit and experience one of Folsom’s longest-running and most treasured seasonal traditions.
