Historic Folsom is set to come alive with the sound of music every Thursday night starting this week and continuing through August as the Folsom Historic District Association presents the 2023 version of its annual Summer Twilight Concert Series.

Taking place at the Zittel Family Amphitheater in the heart of the Historic Folsom Plaza beginning this Thursday, this concert series is free to the public, thanks to a number of generous sponsors which help fund event. The 2023 line-up includes 14 of the region’s top bands, offering a variety of genres including a little bit of county, a little bit of rock and roll and a dose of hip hop, 80’s, pop, jazz and more in between.

Last year, the district completed the construction of a shade structure, as well as the installation of a new sound system that enhanced the spectator experience each and every Thursday night. The FHDA brings the concerts to the district in an effort to increase tourism and patronage to the city’s Historic District as concert goers patronize local merchants and eateries for a special night out in the heart of the city.

Each Thursday night the music begins at 7:30p.m. and concludes at 9:30 p.m.  spectators are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for event. Parking is free in the Historic District Parking Garage at  905 Leidesdorff Street, which is right next to the concert venue for a dance across the walkway to grab your seat for some great entertainment.

“We are really excited about our line-up this year, we have some of the best bands in the region taking the stage each week,” said Judy Collinsworth, executive director of the FHDA. “We welcome all ages to come out, enjoy dinner or some later afternoon shopping in the district and enjoy the entertainment. This is all made possible by the support of our community sponsors each year and our FHDA volunteers that help with the events.
