Free Thursday night shows take place to the Zittel Family Amphitheater June through August
The rhythm of summer is set to return to the heart of the city as the Folsom Historic District Association officially announces its 2025 Summer Twilight Concert Series. Beginning June 5, music lovers can enjoy free live performances every Thursday evening through August 28 at the Zittel Family Amphitheater in Historic Folsom Plaza.
The annual tradition draws hundreds each week for a laid-back evening of live music under the open sky. With performances spanning rock, Americana, blues, country, funk, soul, and more, this year’s series brings another exciting mix of crowd-pleasing favorites and dynamic newcomers to the stage.
The 2025 season kicks off on June 5 with high-energy local legends Mumbo Gumbo, followed by Adam Aldama & The Aces bringing their rock and dance flair on June 12. The soulful sounds of Jessica Malone take the spotlight on June 19, while The Golden Cadillacs deliver their country-rock vibes on June 26.
On July 3, fans can enjoy the folk harmonies of Wildwood Roses, and the eclectic blues-rock fusion of Dirty Cello will follow on July 10. AKAlive Band takes the stage on July 17, and the ever-popular Apple Z brings party hits on July 24. Wrapping up the month on July 31, Wayside will deliver an evening of classic rock and originals.
August brings more summer fun with Sky Kings performing on August 7, followed by fiery fiddle-led rhythms from Tom Rigney and Flambeau on August 14. The upbeat energy continues with the Ryan Hernandez Band on August 21, and the season closes with country-pop favorites Ariel Jean Band on August 28.
Each concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m., with free admission thanks to generous community sponsors. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the shows from the grassy amphitheater space. Parking is free and convenient at the Historic District Parking Garage, located at 905 Leidesdorff Street just steps from the venue.
Now in its latest season, the Summer Twilight Concert Series continues to build on recent enhancements made to the venue, including a permanent shade structure and upgraded sound system that have elevated the spectator experience. The weekly concerts not only offer quality entertainment but also help support local businesses throughout the Historic District as attendees dine and shop before and after the shows.
In addition to the Thursday night events, the Historic Folsom venue will also be home to several additional concerts put on by other promoters. These include the Light up the Dark Music Festival on May 10 benefiting the Powerhouse Ministries. On Saturday May 17 the Folsom Lake Symphony performs :”Twilight Delight. “ On June 27, the Hometown Country Radio Show returns featuring numerous artists in a Grand Ole Opry style variety concert.
