The Red Hawk Resort Casino is ready to draw the curtain closed on 2023 and ring in 2024 in style this weekend with live music from Friday night until Sunday night.
The final weekend of 2023 will feature four different bands performing on the casino stage bar. It doesn’t stop with the New Year, with two more bands on New Year’s Day, bringing the entertainment card up to six bands over five days altogether.The weekend will also feature a DJ at its popular Apex entertainment venue.
It all starts Friday night with High Fidelity taking to the stage. High Fidelity is a tribute to the classic rock, punk rock, radio rock, and country sounds of the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Based in Sacramento, this high-energy cover band has been lighting up stages across the city with their captivating performances and authentic renditions.
On Saturday night, Modern Relic takes to the Red Hawk Stage. According to their promotional materials, Modern Relics sets out on a mission to play all of the new wave hits of the 80’s that everyone remembers, and some of you forgot. No matter what they play, they cite that they are “sure to keep the audience dancing all night long.”
Sunday, it’s a live music double header in celebration of the New Year’s at Red Hawk Resort Casino. It all starts with Moonshine Crazy from 5-9 pm followed by Power Play that will ring in the new year playing from 10 pm until 2 am. In addition to the live music, “DJ Purd Man” will be performing in the Apex from 8:00pm to 12:30am on New Year’s Eve.
Moonshine Crazy brings their country sound to the stage with a mix of originals and country songs you love. Playing just about every “honky tonk dive-bar” in Northern California, MoonShine Crazy paid their dues playing until dawn and honing their craft as live musicians together.
The band was established in the summer of 2015 and is based out of Sacramento. They are set to perform from 5 until 9 pm on New Years Eve.
Power Play will take to the stage in 2023 and walk off of it in 2024 as they close out the year at the stage bar. They perform from 10 am until 2 am. Power Play is a returning favorite with several stellar voices that can cover everything from Lady Gaga, to Johnny Cash, to Eminem and a multitude of artists in between. The band is known for its high energy and performs top 40 hits that are sure to get you on the dance floor.
0nce 2024 officially arrives the entertainment doesn’t stop there. Red Hawk has also added live music with two bands taking the stage on New Year’s Day.
Kirk Basquez and his band will take to the stage on Monday from 2 pm until 6pm. Gotcha Covered will close out Nee Year’s Day from 8 pm until 12 am.
Born and raised in Northern California and coming from a large family of musicians, Basquez always cites that, “country music is his jam,” as he has been on musical journey in which was he influenced to venture on by some of country music’s biggest names.
Gotcha Covered is a band covering a wide variety of hit music. According to their entertainment bio, they play the top hits of every genre from the 70’s to today. Exploding vocals, combined with powerful harmonies, bring every song to life that prides themselves to take the extra effort to make the songs sound like you’re listening to the original artists live.
